BIO
Djamel Djebbour

Positif and talented, Djamel turns his interrest to his other great passion : Photography.
Self-thaught, he begin as a portraitist.

He defines his theme of predilection as « a world in motion ».
From frantic Africa to urban America. Djamel warm and humane sensibility sets his look all around the world.
Portraits of bystanders met in the effervescence of the great métropoles
of Tokyo or Havana, gracious moments shared with people or actors, Djamel’s eye catches with tenderness, sincerity and enthousiasme the moment of truth his witnesses. Sometimes, his look becomes more militant, stilling the image of a woman wearing a veile in the sad street of Téhéran or the despair in the eye of a street kid in the slums of Mumbay.
His photography touches then both intimacy and universality. Fugitives and meaningfull moments that move us so deeply.
Privileged and talented witness of his century, Djamel his a proud member of the noble tradition of the travelers of the world.
